ADI Negev During the
Swords of Iron War

Rehabilitation, Protection, & Resilience for Israel’s South

Since October 7, ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center have played a vital role in Israel’s recovery effort.

The medical center has treated wounded soldiers and civilians, continued operating under threat, received rehabilitation patients from Soroka Medical Center, and expanded emotional resilience programs for people across the Negev.

Wounded Soldiers & Their Families

ADI Negev has provided advanced rehabilitation care for wounded IDF soldiers and civilians from Israel’s south.

Patients receive physical, occupational, speech, emotional, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative sports treatments, all close to home and surrounded by their families.

Taking Charge of Life

The “Taking Charge of Life” Program helps wounded soldiers and security forces return to life after rehabilitation.

The program combines therapy, emotional support, family care, and skill-building activities such as therapeutic carpentry, cooking, martial arts, vocational guidance, and group support.

Its goal is simple:

Operating Under Fire

The Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center was built for the reality of southern Israel.

Its protected infrastructure allows ADI Negev to continue caring for patients during emergencies. The facility includes advanced safety features, including protected wards designed to keep patients and staff safe.

After the missile strike on Soroka Medical Center, Soroka transferred rehabilitation patients to ADI Negev so they could continue receiving care in a secure environment.
ADI Negev has become part of the medical safety net of Israel’s south.

Resilience for Children,
Families, & Communities

The war left deep emotional wounds across the Negev.
In response, ADI Negev expanded Merhavim LaNefesh, a regional resilience program for children, families, terror victims, bereaved families, ZAKA volunteers, older adults, people with disabilities, and wounded soldiers’ families.

The program uses the village’s unique resources, including animal therapy, equine therapy, cooking, gardening, carpentry, ceramics, sports, creative arts, and hydrotherapy.
It gives people a safe place to process trauma, rebuild strength, and begin moving forward.

Professional Volunteers

Since October 7, world-class medical and rehabilitation professionals have come to ADI Negev to help.

Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals left their homes, families, and patients to support the work of the Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center.

They brought expertise, heart, and strength to soldiers, civilians, older adults, and other patients during one of Israel’s most difficult periods.

Prosthetics and Orthotics

Even before the war, Israel had a serious shortage of trained prosthetics and orthotics professionals.

After October 7, with so many wounded soldiers and civilians facing limb loss and complex injuries, the need became even more urgent.

ADI Negev opened Israel’s first School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, in partnership with Ben-Gurion University, Israel’s Ministry of Health, and additional partners.

The school will train a new generation of Israeli professionals and help raise the level of prosthetic care across the country.

Built for This Moment

The Swords of Iron War has shown why ADI Negev was built.
To provide world-class rehabilitation close to home.
To keep caring for patients even under fire.
To help children, families, soldiers, and communities recover from trauma.
To strengthen the future of rehabilitation in Israel.

ADI Negev continues to stand with Israel’s south — helping people recover, rebuild, and return to life.
