Rehabilitation
Psychology
Adjusting to a new diagnosis, injury, or way of doing daily life takes a real emotional toll, and our rehabilitation psychologists work alongside the medical team to help patients through it.
They help patients build coping strategies, work through frustration or low mood, and stay motivated over the course of treatment, and they support family members adjusting to a loved one’s care too.
Patients typically meet one-on-one with a rehabilitation psychologist, in sessions built around what’s actually on their mind that week. For patients dealing with cognitive changes, we also offer neuropsychological assessment to help the whole care team understand and plan around their specific needs.
