This Program Is Dedicated to the Memory of
Master Sergeant (Res.) Saar Margolis, of blessed memory

Fell on the 22nd of Tishrei, 5784
(October 7, 2023)
Aged 37

Saar was born and raised in Kibbutz Kissufim, where he served as the community’s security coordinator for more than a decade. He built and trained the kibbutz’s civilian security team, maintained close coordination with the military, and dedicated himself to protecting the residents with an unwavering sense of purpose.

On October 7, 2023, when terrorists infiltrated the kibbutz, Saar went out to fight with courage and determination — armed with a weapon, but above all, with an indomitable fighting spirit. After hours of fierce fighting, he fell while attempting to rescue residents.

Saar was a man of contrasts: a leader and a fighter, but also funny, playful, and a devoted family man. He loved cooking, boxing, and above all, spending time with Yasmin and his daughters.

Ever humble, he would surely have brushed off these words with a joke and said: “Enough of this nonsense — let’s have a beer.”

We miss you, Saar.

Your family, your friends, and the fellow fighters who were privileged to know you.
